Hawaii - Researching, Writing, Reading

I have been on a "staycation" for the last week and have spent some time thinking about how to spice up my blog. I have been able to get in contact with some great Hawaii bloggers recently and I am working on a few different posts about these bloggers and what Hawaii means to them. I have also been watching the conversations on Twitter as they relate to Hawaii - there is a LOT of talk going on, mostly positive. It's hard to be constantly involved in these conversations while being in Seattle (although these conversations are online). That's something that I need to work on. I think it's important to be involved in the conversations, but you also need to listen to what others are saying - communication is a two-way street!

Twitter really has been amazing source of interaction for me with not only folks living in Hawaii, but other Hawaiians at Heart all over the world. I completely agree that it's impossible to keep up with all the conversations going on, and I personally have been a failing Twitizen for the last few months.

Still, the contacts I've made and the relationships that were started with my Tweeps in Maui just in the last year have been amazing, and I truly cherish those connections I've made.

Of course, I'm totally bias in saying this, but I don't think there is anywhere else in the world where this is so much Twitter love (or Aloha, for that matter) all in one geographical area that also have connections in people all over the world. Truly amazing, in my opinion!

As for all the great Hawaii bloggers out there, well, they're just as amazing, too. Looking forward to some of the upcoming posts you're working on.

Aloha,
- Kris.

Nice comment Kris, I agree :)

The HawaiiHTA bloggers are here and we are planning a tweet-up. The two of you came to my mind (Kris and Natalani) - even though you are not in here - you are very much part of the "Twitter Ohana on Hawaii" and wish you can come.
